This is my second recording of Voormolen. "Sonnet" has the form of A-A' and it resembles Autumn Landscape in Tableaux (1921). It seemed to me that the composing technique had developed in a year and cord transitions were smoother than the Landscape.
As I found no major misprints, I decided to take a movie, which I failed when I tried it with Landscape. This time my playing gestures looked somewhat normal and less disturbing.
I took the sonnet as a poem of the varying scale from a mere person to grand nature. I hope my use of three pedals help change of sonority ranging from personal drowsiness to chill of star-falling night.
(my english is broken...)
